Values, Vision and Action Family Retreat

Do you dream of a good life for your family member with an intellectual disability? Do you struggle to achieve this dream? You are not alone. Many families are searching for ways to make their dreams a reality. Come together for a weekend of connecting, learning and sharing with others.

The Canadian Association for Community Living and the BC Association for Community Living invite you to apply to attend a two-day retreat at Loon Lake in Maple Ridge, B.C.

Learn about the values and vision of the Community Living movement and discover how they can help you create the life you want for your family. Together we are stronger. Gain information, inspiration and feel empowered to take action!

This weekend retreat, beginning at 6 pm on Friday, will run until 2 pm on Sunday. The workshop will be highly interactive, consisting of individual and panel presentations, small group sessions, and a variety of informational videos. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the history, values and vision of the community living movement, the changing perspectives on
disability within our society and the role families can play in translating this vision into a ‘good life’ for our family members.
