This is the Story of a Civil Rights Movement

The Inclusion BC Foundation is responsible for developing funds to support Inclusion BC and its federation of over 75 Community Living agencies across the province.

2015 is our 60th Anniversary. We built on what we have learned, while looking ahead to seek out new approaches and innovations all the while remembering our genesis: those fearless families in 1955 who, with one simple decision, created a tidal wave of change. They took their children with developmental disabilities home rather than have them placed in an institution.

There is still so much work to be done to end the barriers and isolation that affect families with special needs. We continue to build on the courage and success families have had in the face of immense barriers by establishing regional family advocacy networks across BC.
