New Employment Program Request for Proposals

The Ministry of Social Development has published a Request for Proposals (RFP) for employment service providers interested in providing services under the new employment program in B.C.

To view the RFP, Visit the BC Bid Website and click "browse opportunities by organization." Click "Ministry of Social Development" and then "Employment Program of B.C."

The B.C. Ministry of Social Development is making changes to employment assistance programs. It is expected that current specialized services will shift to generic self-serve programs. BCACL and other advocates and service providers wrote a joint press release on March 28, expressing our concerns with the new proposed model. We are worried that the new model may not provide adequate support to individuals with developmental disabilities and other vulnerable workers. A press conference is being planned and details will be sent out as they're confirmed.
