Over 400 attend BCACL Conference in Penticton

...to the conference participants, the presenters, the many volunteers and sponsors for making our 2012 Conference, Moving Forward, Steadfast and Strong, such a great experience for all involved. We are already looking forward to seeing you next year in Vancouver!

We also want to extend a special thanks to our conference co-hosts, the Penticton and District Society for Community Living and the Penticton and District Community Resource Society for their hard work planning, decorating, hosting and recruiting volunteers and sponsors.

Many of you attended the pre-conference event hosted by The Centre for Inclusion and Citizenship, Research with Relevance. The day was informative, engaging and inspiring. The Centre will be posting proceedings from the day on their website in the near future. www.cic.arts.ubc.ca.

Annual General Meeting
The AGM was held on Friday, June 1 and Saturday, June 2 at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre. Six resolutions were passed on the floor of the AGM. Read the resolutions here.

The BC Self Advocacy Caucus held its elections on Sunday, June 2, 2012 in Penticton.
