New website helps families find support

The Family Support Institute has launched an exciting new website connecting families of persons with disabilities with resources available to them.

Message from the Family Support Institute

This site is BC’s first ever user friendly, searchable database of disability related supports, services and community based activities for anyone in British Columbia!

We are excited to invite community to add to the database by clicking "suggest a resource" if you find we have missed anything at all. We know this is a big job, and we have missed things. We need your help to continue to add to this fabulous resource, and let us know if there are errors or things missing. This is a community journey!
Within this site we also have a Transition Orientation to support those approaching adult life and all of the aspects of that journey that people may want to pay particular attention to. We will be adding to this as we journey together as well.

The Family Support Institute (FSI) strengthens and supports families faced with the extraordinary circumstances that come with having a family member who has a disability. Directed by families, the Family Support Institute provides information, training, and province-wide networking to assist families and their communities to build upon and share their strengths.
