Important Social Service Providers Meeting in Richmond, July 17

Inclusion BC encourages all social service provider organizations to read the important message below from the BC CEO Network about a critical upcoming meeting for Social Service Providers in British Columbia.

The CEO Network is convening a meeting of BC social service providers on July 17th in Richmond to discuss issues faced collectively by the sector, across Government funders and multiple agencies. Please do share this invitation, and the attachments, with any service providers and agencies in the sector - all are welcome to attend. To register for the meeting, just email before July 12 by sending your name and the name of your organization to the BC CEO Network at BCCEONetwork@BCCEONetwork.ca

Inclusion BC strongly supports the CEO Network in coming together to develop collective strategies to address the issues confronting service providers in BC today.


This note includes important information for BC Social Service Providers.

We apologize if you have received this note from multiple sources.  It is important that you be aware of the upcoming meeting of BC Social Service Providers on Wednesday, July 17th in Richmond.  If your organization is providing Social Services in BC (no matter which Government Funder you may be contracting with), you should be interested in this information.  This meeting will interest organizations that are non-unionized and/or unionized.

There are two relevant documents distributed as attachments to this note.  One is a letter that has been distributed by MCFD with the following instruction (one of several) with respect to funding of the recently ratified Collective Agreements:

"Agencies will be expected to submit proposals as to how their negotiated increases could be addressed." (excerpt from attached MCFD letter).

The second attachment is information on the upcoming BC Social Service Providers meeting on Wednesday, July 17th in Richmond.

1.  Forward this note (with attachments) out to any Social Service Provider in BC that you are familiar with.  Together, we don't have a lot of time to get this information out regarding the upcoming meeting, and our email lists are limited in which organizations we will successfully reach in this short period of time.

2.  Get yourself registered today for the meeting on July 17th in Richmond (registration is quick and simple - see attachment).
