The ministry’s announcement follows below.

Keeping you Informed and Engaged

The Ministry of Social Development and Social Innovation is seeking Expressions of Interest  from government partners to volunteer as an early implementation site to test the integrated service delivery model prior to full implementation.

The purpose is to identify government partners interested in becoming one of the sites to implement, test and refine the integrated service delivery model prior to full implementation. The project will provide new opportunities for partners to become engaged earlier in the lives of individuals in transition and work together more collaboratively. Expressions of Interest must be received by July 26 at 4 p.m.

Work has been completed on a series of reports critical to moving forward on providing more integrated services and supports for people with developmental disabilities. These reports are the result of extensive community engagement and consultation with representatives from the ministries and authorities involved in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.

The Integrated Service Delivery Model is a detailed analysis of the current service delivery model as well as opportunities for change, improvement and innovation going forward.

The Navigator Model report outlines the roles and responsibilities of dedicated positions (navigators) within government. A navigator is someone who can act as a single contact and help coordinate planning for and access to the range of services and supports available.
